We meet on an evening, from 7-9pm, on the first and third Tuesday of every month in the library of Mortimer Community Centre.

Where many other writers’ circles meet during the day, we find that having evening meetings gives writers who work during the day an opportunity for to meet up, chat, read work, give and receive critiques, discuss competitions, how to prepare scripts, get agents, publishers, or pursue self publishing - either online or in print.

Although the meetings are generally informal, we are a serious writers’ group and critiques are honest, often cutting, but as our aim is to improve, we hope you’ll welcome opinions (and take or leave them - that’s up to you), and be prepared to give honest views on others’ work.
